I will overwhelm 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" the American as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Ex two-time world title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally known for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather criticized former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

However, the novice continues to be one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, consistently making huge earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.

"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the customary stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really going ahead.
